The Navagio Shipwreck by Boat

Navagio, the famous Shipwreck Beach, is the postcard image of Zakynthos (Zante), and it can only be reached by sea. Set between towering white limestone cliffs on the north-west coast, the cove holds the rusted wreck of the Panagiotis and some of the most vivid turquoise water in the Ionian. With Sota Travel you sail straight to it from Zakynthos Marina, on your own self-drive boat or with a private skipper.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

The Wreck, the Cliffs & the Blue

View the cove, shipwreck and towering white cliffs from the official safe maritime zone. In 2026, landing and swimming at Navagio are prohibited and boats must remain at least 50 metres from the shoreline. Nearby approved coves provide the swim stops, while Navagio remains an unforgettable photo stop from the water.

ROUTE & DURATION

Getting to Navagio from the Marina

Navagio sits on the north-west tip of the island, roughly 45–60 minutes by boat from Zakynthos Marina. Because it is a longer run, we recommend a 7-hour self-drive rental or a private skipper cruise so you can take your time and combine Navagio with the nearby Blue Caves in one relaxed day. No boat licence is required for our self-drive speedboats, and every trip starts with a short safety briefing.
